Flash is a beautiful Border Collie, 2 years old and weighing about 40 pounds. He is absolutely gorgeous with his coppery red coat and amber eyes.
Border Collies are known for their high energy, but Flash has so much energy he is unable to focus on anything. He has been put on medication to help him deal with his overstimulation problem. He is much more receptive now, and able to process training commands and be with other dogs. He is very sweet with people and gets along well with calm female dogs.
He requires a home very experienced with Border Collies. A fenced yard and quiet environment are also necessary. In the right home, all his energy can be channeled into constructive activities like fetching, Frisbee, and maybe even a little herding with a few easy going sheep.
Due to his high energy needs, Flash will not be adopted to families living in apartments, townhomes or homes without fenced yards.
